Many thanks to Erika in Bookventureland for tagging me in the Summertime Madness Book tag!!

I don’t always get the chance to do as many of the tags as I’d like, but since its a lazy sunday today’s a great day for this one.

Show a book with a Summery Cover

Amy Bartol’s Darken the Stars cover is the closets I could come to for a book with a “summery” cover, because it looks like the cover model is swimming in the ocean. I loved this series (The Kricket Series), which straddles the Young Adult/New Adult fence. Its about an 18 year old girl who is snatched by a group of guys and taken through a wormhole into an alternate dimension/world. My review for the first book in the series is here.

Pick 1 fictional place that would be the perfect destination for a summer vacation

Ugh, that would obviously be Hogwarts, which would make a great anytime vacation lol

You’re about to go on a flight to your summer vacation, but you want to read a book that lasts for the whole flight, what novella do you choose?

(Adult Paranormal Romance) Gena Showalter’s The Darkest Angel novella, located in After Dark anthology is one of my favorite novella’s. One ice cold angel falls for a red-hot Harpy and finds she’s more than he expected.

You have a case of summertime sadness, what happy book do you pick up to shine a smile on your face?

Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging and the whole Georgia Nicholson series by Louise Rennison is a great “happy” read, mostly because its so laugh out loud funny. If you want to bring a smile to your face, this is a great option. My review for the first in the series is here.

You’re sitting alone on the beach alone… which fictional character would be your beach babe?

Anyone who has read my blog already knows that Judd Lauren from Nalini Singh’s Psy/Changeling series is my all time favorite book boyfriend. He stars in many of the books in the series but has his own book in Caressed by Ice (adult paranormal/sci-fi romance). He’s completely sigh-worthy!

To match your ice cream you want an icy cool sidekick! Which fictional side kick do you pick?

I think one of my favorite side kicks right now is Kat from Gena Showalter’s YA The White Rabbit Chronicles. The first book is Alice in Zombieland. My review for this book is here.

It’s so sad that summertime is nearly over for the year! Before it is though, I will tag the last 5 blogs I followed!

  1. I’ve seen the Georgia Nicholson series literally everywhere for years now. The titles are absolutely hilarious. I’m sure they’re great, fun reads, so from these books you chose to answer this tag I really want to pick up that one someday. I actually haven’t heard of the other ones, aside from Harry Potter, of course! So may take a look at the other titles on GR as well. ^.^
