I’ve changed my blog background!

I’ve changed the background image on the blog!

Sometimes ya just get sick and tired of the same old thing, and this weekend I was in the mood for a change. So I’ve chosen a drastically different look for my blog and so far I’m really liking it. Im trying to find a new theme as well but I’m having trouble committing (says the girl who has been in a relationship for ten years and still isn’t married, so no surprise there) but I did find a background image i decided to try out.

Its kind of a subtle “night sky” look, which is actually not surprising because I’ve been on this huge sci-fi/space travel kick in my reading lately. I guess all those books taking place in space, plus I just saw The Martian last night, has inspired my background choice! Plus I love the night sky, so I figured might as well give it a go.

I’m still trying to figure out how to get the CSS to let me change the color on some of the text on the blog, like the tagline because its too dark and it doesn’t show well against the new background. So far I’m not having luck figuring out how to change that yet. Im going to have to sit down with it and puzzle it out tomorrow I think. I am supposed to have the ability to customize the CSS in my wordpress package right now but so far I can’t actually figure out how to do it. And I actually do know HTML and CSS so this is veerrrra frustrating!

So hey, if anyone knows how to mess with the CSS I’d love to hear it.

This was kind of a random post so let me add some links to some of my reviews of “space-travel-ish” books to go along with my new blog look!
